Under the main and fore tops there are rows of double blocks. I know that most of them are for buntlines. Some on the foretop are used for spritsail braces. What are the extra blocks on the maintop used for?
Thanks for the response. Petersson doesn't show the martinets. He has martingales. Same thing?? He shows brails but not going to the top.
Just a little heads up. When you are building the tops, attach these blocks to the tops before you attach the tops to the masts. it's really, really hard to attach them with all the shrouds and stuff in the way.
