With the iReX project scrapped, I had designed a ferry with a freight carrying capacity of 5,701.2 lane metres (when full and no rail freight is being carried) which would have been spread out over three decks (Deck 3 with 1,827.6 lane metres - reduced to 1,385.8 lane metres when rail freight is being carried and all eight running roads are full, Deck 5 with 1,977.6 lane metres and Deck 7 with 1,896 lane metres) (not including when hoistable mezzanine decks are deployed to form decks 6 and 8).
This would have made my new ferries world record holders for freight carrying capacity, second only to the new Gothia Seaways freight only ferry and sisters built or under construction for DFDS Line. . .
As you may be able to tell my overall design has been heavily influenced by Baltic ferries such as the MegaStar, MyStar, Viking Glory, Viking Grace, the Galaxy-class Galaxy, Star/Oscar Wilde, Baltic Princess and Baltic Queen.
